You will be able to access your VPS from your MAC, by using your VPS details and a small application called Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac, please follow the steps below:

In order to get started with Microsoft Remote Desktop, you must begin by downloading it from the Mac App Store.

Step 1:

Open Finder > Applications > App Store.

Step 2:

Please try using the search bar to find Microsoft Remote Desktop.

Select Get > Install App, After installing the app, please click on the Microsoft Remote Desktop icon in your Applications folder.

Step 3:

Launch the app by finding it in your Applications folder.

If you think you’ll be frequently using this remote desktop connection, you can set it in your dock.

Right-click (control + click) on the icon, mouse over “Options,” and click “Keep in Dock.”

This will keep you from having to look for the icon every time you need to use it.

Step 4:

To access your VPS select + New and fill out the information in the highlighted boxes for the Windows server.


Connection Name: A name to identify your connection

PC Name: Your VPS IP address

User Name: In most cases Administrator

Password: Your VPS password

After that, please close and save, then immediately, you’ll see the server show up in your My Desktops list.

Click the on the VPS Desktop that you have just created and you will be able to login to your VPS.
