It’s important to understand and abide by the restrictions placed by social networks. There are limits on how many followers an account can have on each platform. If you continue to follow users after reaching that limit, you risk losing some of your current followers.
Thankfully, the Pinterest Unfollow tool from JARVEE is here to simplify your life by taking care of the unfollowing procedure for you. The Unfollow tool can handle the job effectively whether you’ve reached your maximum number of followers or want to maintain a balanced ratio of total followers to followings for increased credibility.
Navigating the Pinterest Unfollow tool
Click on your account from the TOOLS view, then go straight to the Unfollow tool tab. This tool only displays the tool’s settings; it doesn’t have any other tabs.
Run Timers
- Items must be unfollowed after JARVEE has followed them for at least X days.
- The time frame before the start of a new unfollow operation
- The number of users/boards that will be unfollowed for each operation, as well as the interval between each unfollow.
- The duration of the tool’s use
- The tool can be configured to pause its unfollow action for a random amount of time before starting a new operation.
- You can shuffle the days of the week when the Unfollow tool is active by choosing the Rotate Days option. For the upcoming week, the tool will select a different set of three days if you choose Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, for example. If you don’t want to unfollow users on the weekends, you can choose to leave them out of the rotation.
💡Your Run Timer settings don’t provide an estimated number of unfollows per hour or day, but there is a counter for the total number of unfollowed users.
Unfollow Limits
- For the most users/boards that can be unfollowed in a single day, JARVEE will choose a random number from the X-Y maximum unfollows you have configured and use that as the limit for a given day.
- For the most users/boards that can be unfollowed in a single hour, JARVEE will choose a random number from the X-Y maximum unfollows you have configured and use that as the limit for a given hour.
- Enabling the automatic follow/unfollow option will allow you to run the follow and unfollow tools interchangeably by automatically stopping and starting whichever tool you choose, depending on the condition you set in the aforementioned option. This is very helpful if you want to maintain a balance between your followers and followings.
User Filters
- Do not unfollow followers – Use this option to keep the people who followed you back from being unfollowed.
- Delay Unfollow for followers – Use this option if you want to follow someone for X days before unfollowing them so that you don’t have to do it right away. Please take note that if you have selected Do not unfollow followers, this option will be disabled.
- Use whitelist – You can add certain users’ usernames to the whitelist option to prevent JARVEE from performing the unfollow action on them if you don’t want to unfollow them.
No Results tab?
Although the Unfollow tool doesn’t have a Results tab, you can check the items under the Follow > Results tab to see if the Unfollowed Column shows a Yes.
Unfollowing users followed manually
You must import users first using the option ‘Import people you’ve followed manually’ if you want to unfollow people whom you manually followed or who you followed through software other than JARVEE. JARVEE only keeps track of those it follows; it is unable to see those you manually follow. As a result, you must import them. There is a scroll time indicated, similar to when extracting users, and this controls how long JARVEE will scroll on your followings page. In that case, the option to Set the date for the extracted user to X days ago has nothing to do with adding more users. This value is used to distinguish the extracted items.
From the sample below, you’ll notice that the manual extractions made have FOLLOWING_30 as a keyword and it’s a sign that they are set as if they were followed 30 days ago. There are two options available for Pinterest: to EXTRACT FOLLOWING or EXTRACT FOLLOWING BOARDS. Therefore, for these users who have the FOLLOWING_30 keyword to be unfollowed, you must set the Unfollow tool to unfollow users after a minimum of 29 – 29 days.
💡 You must extend the scroll time (which is set by default to 300 seconds or 5 minutes) to extract older followings. We really won’t suggest that you increase this any further because social media platforms interpret prolonged scrolling on a given page as an indication of automation and will either stop displaying results or end with a timeout error. Additionally, social media platforms have limits on the number of followers/followings that can be displayed, so you can’t extract all of the older followings at once.
Ensure first that all users who have the keyword FOLLOWING_30 are unfollowed first. After which you can perform another extraction to obtain the older followers if there are no longer any users who can be unfollowed using that keyword. If you want to concentrate on unfollowing older users first, it’s also best to stop using the Follow and Follow Back tools because doing so will make it more difficult for JARVEE to gather the older users on your followings list.
The Pinterest Unfollow tool from JARVEE is a quick and easy way to manage your account. This tool can be very useful if you’re a social media user who has reached the Pinterest following cap or wants to keep a healthy balance between followers and followings. If you want to manage your total followings or keep a balanced ratio for greater credibility, you have total control over the unfollowing process with this tool.
