Announcing The Jarvee’s Essay Writing Competition Winners

I know you’ve been waiting for a while for this so let’s do it. Today we’re finally announcing the winners. I say winners and not winner as we have a surprise for all of you, keep reading and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

So first things first : The grand winner of our Essay Writing Competition for $2179 is Bratulescu Valentin from “Liceul Elena Cuza, Bucuresti” . Congratulations! Although we received a lot of great essays I must say we liked yours the most. We’ve already published your essay “Thoughts About Social Media Advertising” and we’ll contact you shortly to talk about how to send over your prize.

Now, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when we first thought of having this competition we didn’t expect so many students to participate and we received some really good essays. Because it would be a shame for all that work to go to waste and to make it up to everyone for the delay in announcing the winner we want to offer a few more prizes, with a twist.

It will go like this, over the course of the next few days I’ll post 10-15 of the other essays that were good and deserve recognition. When this step is finished I’ll announce how we’ll pick the next winners or better say how you’ll do that. Since the general topic of this essay was “social media” I can tell you it will have something to do with this.

What are the new prizes?

1. The community will choose the best one of the posted essays and the author will get the second prize of $300.
2. All the runner-up essay authors will get a 1 year Jarvee Starter License worth $240 – I’m sure you’ll all have fun with this tool and find it useful.

Anything else?

No new submission are accepted, only the students that already submitted an essay will be considered for this.
When the posting of the runner up essays is finished I will update this post with the names and direct link of all the ones that were chosen to participate, after that the fun begins.

Certificate of participation

Since some of you mentioned this we do think it’s a great idea so we’ll do this as well. Anyone that needs/wants a certificate of participation to Jarvee’s Essay Writing Competition will get one as long as you’re on the list of students that sent an essay and followed the guidelines. If you find your name there send an email to scholarships[@]jarvee.com from the same email you used to send the essay submission from and we’ll take it from there.
